Barrel Organ

Barrel Organ

This hand turned raffin busker's organ or barrel organ as it is often called plays a variety of music including traditional sea shanties, folk tunes, classical pieces, period victorian music hall, french chanson and seasonal christmas music.

The grinder will show the public how the organ works, how to rewinds & changes the music 'rolls' and even give them a chance to 'have a go'  at grinding or turning the organ themselves.

Dressed in period edwardian/victorian costume this act is popular with museums and at period events and of course at Christmas for Dickensian Christmas events.
